Well... almost. Back at Goteborg since yesterday, after the last leg of our trip at Copenhagen. This apartment has become my second home away from home. And we love it here. It had been a tremendous experience for me so far. It was my first backpacking trip (minus the stay at budget hostels) to so many countries within a trip. And it was my longest trip ever too. We covered Stockholm, Oslo, Bergen and Copenhagen during the past week. Apart from my tired feet, my pocket felt the strain as well. =P I just did a quick calculation, and realised that I will need to dig deeper into my savings. Well, apart from food and transport, the souvenirs are not cheap! So when you receive your tiny lil' presents when I get back, please think 'Scandinavia = High Cost of Living', therefore 'Small Souvenirs = Expensive'. In general, things are about 3-4 times more expensive than Singapore. Considering their income and welfare are much better, I guess it is okay for them, but not really for us. Of cuz, the souvenirs I bought for myself contributed to the big hole in my pocket too. -sheepish grin-
Initially, I wanted to update everyone on the trip day-by-day. Obviously, that was too ambitious. =p Couldn't afford the weight of the notebook during the trip, and the layover back in Goteborg between legs was too short. Besides, who's keeping track anyway? Not like its the Tour de France. Perhaps, next time I do a similar application with GPS tracking as well. LOL. So I will probably do write abit of trip when I get back - just wanna nua the rest of my days in Goteborg.
Meantime, here is an overall picture of the apartment in Goteborg where we are staying. Click on the image for a bigger view.
And this is my makeshift bed! It is really comfortable compared to the hotel beds in the past week.
Btw, tho' this small apartment has only a bedroom, a living room, a tiny kitchen and toilet, I think it is brilliantly designed! Maybe I will apply some of the concepts in my flat next time.
Hmmm... kinda reluctant to return to working life again...
