Why Do Good Times Last Less Than A Day?

Because... I talked too much. Some things are better not said, especially when I ain't quite sure what kind of reaction to expect. And the worst of all, would be no reaction at all. (Yes, I expected something, good, bad, anything!) Regardless how dear the thoughts or feelings may mean to me, they often mean otherwise in the eyes of someone else. Neither is is very right to draw my own conclusions for the no-show... it is often as negative as it can get. Nothing good gets outta it. Next time I'll just keep that big fat mouth of mine shut. Maybe that will earn me a lil' bit of respect and self-worth in a couple of years time... :X Oh boy, it must be almost the end of the road... maybe I should simply give up.

Fifteen Minutes.

Before I continue with this post, I have an announcement to make: With this entry, I have made past the half millenium mark for the total number of blog entries! And this will be a happy entry befitting of such a mirthful milestone! :D After the delay at work, we finally made it to the 15 Minutes at around 8pm. Well, it was not too late as 15 Minutes closes at 11pm. Before I get anyone confused, we took more than 15 minutes to get to 15 Minutes. Around 30 minutes? :-p And... 15 Minutes is a cafe in LASALLE campus at McNally Street (behind Sim Lim Square). As expected of a cafe in the famous local art college, it was artfully furnished. The atmosphere was relaxing. There was a small stage, but no band was playing when we were there. Instead, the speakers were playing slow rock. The wooden tables were arranged in neat rows like what you'll find in a school tuckshop. BBOF had suggested this place after reading about it on the magazine. We had a difficult but fun time figuring out se

Hacked.

I am the proud owner of this truck-load of debris! :D Renovation works for our new home had started on Monday. The workers had finished hacking the floors and walls, and cleared the debris. We barely recognised the place just now, when we went to check on the tiles that were delivered. The walls and floor were naked without the tiles. Coincidentally, we met the workers who were start work on laying the floor tiles tomorrow. It felt kinda good getting to know the friendly people who will be working on your house. Hopefully their workmanship will be good as well! Perhaps I will put up some photos of the progress from our next visit. This is exciting!

RF Once More!

I thought they said Pistol Pete will be presenting the trophy if RF won? Ha . No leh ! But as how the history book was meant to be written, one living legend witnessed another setting some new records. I guess to RF, it wasn't about setting new records. It was about regaining his World No.1 title and Wimbledon trophy. In some way, it was less emotional than winning Roland Garros - he didn't shed a tear! Nevertheless, records defined the greatness of RF, he is the first man to... ... win 15 Grand Slams. ... appear in 20 Grand Slam Finals. ... contest in seven Wimbledon Finals in a row. Truly consistent. Congratulations RF! When are you coming down to our little island to play? ;-) As RF basked in the glory of regaining his crown, Andy sat there and held on to his emotions. Three cheers for Roddick! Don't feel sorry for the American No. 1, he is a true champion as well. He had put up a superb fight and made RF worked really hard. RF dropped two sets to Andy, compared to dro

Random City Photos.

A tropical garden in the heart of the concrete jungle, an orchestrated display of lights and symmetry in one of the latest mall... These are some shots from my short walk in town last weekend. Natural vs Man-made beauties. Charming white gates adorn the Tanglin Road entrance. Beautiful flowers basking in the sun. Buying ice-cream on the "Street of Tokyo". The street view from above. The light show. More lines and reflections. Plunge to the bottom, or is it? The lift shaft. The line of light divides.
