Grey London Part 3.

It wasn't exactly in London, and it was definitely not grey. These pictures were from the beautiful and quiet estate of Chicksands. If you never heard of it, it is okay, you are probably not gonna visit it anyway. Just enjoy the beautiful scenery. =) And on the road from Chicksands to Heathrow... our black Ford. Finally, a side trip to Windsor for the last sunset in England before heading home.

Animating Dreams to Realities.

Saw this advertisement on the NEL train today. And there was another which read " I can engineer inventions for society ". These ads are from one of the institution in Singapore. They have been doing a good job to raise the standards and reputation of the school to which the graduates deserve. But the marketing team oughta to do a better job in delivering the messages in the ads. I can guess what they are trying to say, but reading the phrases literally do not make much sense. " I can animate my dreams to reality ." Animations ain't reality. If you do it very well, you can say it is virtual reality. Perhaps what they are trying to say is that with the skills they learn in school, they are able to dream of great ideas and present them as animations. " I can engineer inventions for society ." You can't engineer an invention. At most you can engineer a process to come out inventions systematically. But that is really more like a process to help in pro

Arrival of Spring.

The daylight is growing longer, and the bougainvillea ( pseudo Sakura of the tropics) is starting to bloom. Spring is finally here!

Reaching For The Sky.

Nevermind that my face and arms are pinkish red now... Scalded by the sun. It was all worthed it! For the first time, I saw a live jet fighters acrobat display and it was our nation's best - the Black Knights. I was truly impressed. Impressed by the power of these flying machines. Impressed by the loud after burners which were like sub woofers blasting into my ears. Impressed by the speed these machines dazzle in the sky. Impressed by the fact that these men need such great skills and concentration to deliver such a synchronized and close-shaved stuns in the air. My heart pumped faster for them everytime the planes crossed path in the sky. Most of all, I felt my hair standing. I was really proud that my fellow countrymen were these men behind the cockpits. I was privileged to get a trade pass for the Singapore Airshow 2008 despite not registering with my department secretary in time. Below are some of the pictures from the event... The Black Knights in action! The Global Hawk. An

HUAT Ah 2008!

Ho ho ho! 5, 4, 3, 2, 1! Gong Xi Fa Choy! Muah Muah Muahz ~* Other than the couple of London posts, it had been two months since I blogged last December. It wasn't that life had been uneventful... Certainly, many significant activities had taken place. Such as Christmas and New Year in Shanghai, dear's Birthday, Chinese New Year, Valentine's Day etc. And I missed my regular entries of the New Year Resolutions, Kudos to my friends etc. Oh and do you remember the TOML series which I had barely started? But my dear had been much more diligent with her entries. Read this , this and this ! The Power of Procrastination! In fact, blogging is one of the last thing I should be doing right now. The are three projects and one last term paper to do. One trip report to be completed. The big stone pressing against my heart is the trip report. Unfortunately I had been busy with other work since I got back. I really should be coughing out a report just about end of this week... I alrea
