Last Official Slack-Day.

Johnson took his eye off the ball for a moment, Robert Horry sneaked a pass to Manu Ginobili at the baseline from the perimeter for an easy lay-up. Tim Duncan with a rebound, pass? No! The big man dribbled all the way, baseline dunk! One-on-three, Ginobili went all the way and scored with a baby hoop. Spurs 6 points up! The NBA Conference Finals are incredible!!! Suns are no pushover. Amare Stoudemire went up the hole again and again. Jump-shots, three-point plays, he was unstoppable. Full-court pass from Steve Nash to Shawn Marion, fabulous assist! Both teams were rainning three-pointers from downtown! They made it looked so easy. Did you watch the Piston vs Miami Game 3? Dwyane Wade did a half court alley hoop! I love the Heats line-up. They have the old-timers from my era, with players like Shaquille O'Neal, Alonzo Mourning, Christian Laettner, Eddie Jones and Steve Smith, and also explosive new players like Dwyane Wade. From the way things are going, it'll probably be a Hea

Hey, guess what is this? Clue: I did not pick it up from the park this morning. Of cuz, it obviously isn't a fruit. Highlight the following text for the answer >> Toilet flush handle << Highlight the following texts for comments >> Wa hahaha, if you think this is weird, well its not the first time I broke one! The last time I broke that in the kitchen toilet on CNY day. I had bad luck for a year following that incident. Hopefully it will not happen this way again. I did no use brutal strength to flush the toilet, just a casual push. I think I saw this coming a few days ago, felt that the handle will snap anytime soon. Afterall, this handle has served the family for almost 18 years, its about time... << On a seperate topic, I noticed this on my statcounter visitors' paths log just now, Google is truly amazing. I merely mentioned her name once in my blog. Sorry, no pictures of her here. heh heh.

I am a Moper (?).

Your word is: Brooding. You are a true thinker and often try to figure out the meaning of life, why we are all here etc. You may not be so social, and often think twice before acting but those thoughts you have in your mind never stop flowing in. Sometimes you can be so concentrated you forget about other things that you have to do. Don't change, this world needs deep people. What dark word represents you? Smooth Tao Huay.

Thursday, I was at Bugis as well (that was the 2nd time, and just now the 3rd time for movie). It was for dinner, and to catch up with some friends before the start of work. I couldn't resist the temptation (dear friends, please stop me next time). I wenta try for Sanji again. For 3bucks, I got Ace , Luffy's brother, this time round. But I was quite happy cuz she said she wanted that as well. Below is a picture of it, still in the wrapper! Nice hor? hee hee. After dinner, we wenta try the Rocher Original Beancurd. Now I know why its so famous - the beancurd is really smooooooooth. Other than that, nothing so special. But what would you expect? I think normal people will not be able to taste the difference in delicacies. So gotta believe what the food experts say. An interesting thing I noticed at the back alley while eating the beancurd was this door. Look at the door in the picture. See this big big hole in the center? And this big big lock at the side? I wonder whats the use

Monster-In-Law.

We often highlight the ugly Singaporeans, but actually there are lotsa nice ppl around. Just now I took a cab home. Tho' we did not talk in the cab, the driver uncle was friendly enough to wish me good luck at the end of the trip. I think I do need that for days to come. Okay, back to main storyline of this entry. I watched Monster-In-Law just now. Let me first comment bout the ticket price, $19 for two tickets!!! Woah. Thats outrageous, isn't it? Well its okay, since been a very long time I watched a movie. The last one was constantine (yeah, before I started blogging!!!). Next let me talk about the show. If you think its another typical Jennifer Lopez romantic comedy, yes it is! But I still like it, since I am a sucker for romantic comedies (not very manly, I know, but who cares). And Jane Fonda is really nasty in the show. This show isn't exactly the female version of "Meet the Parents" . So there's no toilet humour if you are expecting them, just two ang

Great Expectation.

It was a super long wait. As usual. No matter its subject registeration or results release. Its always wait wait wait. And this time, for the last time, was one of the longest wait ever. I hate the feeling. And after hearing all the stories bout' miracles in the last semester from my friends, my hopes were high. But in the end it was not to be. In fact, I am most disappointed with my FYP results. Tho' I shouldn't expect more, considering the amount I have done. But I had high hopes after the words of my supervisor and examiner. And I think it probably cost me a level for the hons class. Maybe I should take consolation in what they said. As least, its a recognition, a flattering praise, I may not get from anyone again. You know its strange, when you will always worry about passing before the results are out. But when its finally out, tho' you passed, you'd expect something more, and starts complaining not getting As. Strange isn't it? After thinking about it agai

Why You Shouldn't Post Your Picture on Net.

Spending alot of time surfing today. =p So don't be surprised if I post more entries today. Talk about good photoshop skills, ha ha. This is funny!!! More here .

Flat Street Paintings.

Wouldn't it be nice if we have such street arts in SG? Certainly beat having those advertisements everywhere you step (in the trains). Remember, these are flat street paintings ! More here .

Burst That Bubble.

No run today due to the rain, but I woke up at the same time anyway. The bio-clock is amazing, I wake up automatically at the same time everyday. I think mummy should be happy its raining, can sleep abit more. hah hah. For me, I just can't sleep anymore. =p I did a so-call-review on using Firefox before in the " Good Things In Life " entry. I love the "open link on a new tab using the middle mouse button" function (ha ha, you gotta try it yourself to know what I'm talking about and understand why its so convenient). Read an article that gives a review on the comparision between Firefox and IE from a different and technical perspective. Maybe you would want to check out this article by John Carroll too, " Firefox, bah humbug ". I stumble upon a bubblewrap site just now. Maybe some of you have been to this site before. For those who have not, and want to enjoy the sensation of bursting those bubblewraps and venting your frustration, you must try!

Linked from SG Blogsphere's Celebrity.

Got a pleasant surprised today. Thanks to Cowboy Caleb for referencing my blog on his . He talked about the nice icons which are from the wonderful Luke Chueh (if you clicked on the site banner below before, it is linked to his site). This is pretty cool since its very flattering to be mentioned by one of Singapore blogsphere celebrity , and it also brings in more readers. =) Unfortunately, it also mean that my geocities' traffic get maxed out faster, thats why you see the broken images. I've shifted the images to flick r now.

Singapore's Famous Orchard Road Eyebrow Plucker.

He has absolutely no talent (as far as I can see on his TV appearances, not sure bout' his eyebrow plucking skills tho'... I wouldn't want to try to find out!). But he sure is famous now (for the wrong reasons). And there are rumours bout him mistreating his 16-yr-old girlfriend. Read more here . Now, he has produced an Aids Preventation movie to prove the comments about his talents . Sit tight when you watch this short clip, you don't want to hurt yourself by falling off your chair. =) P.S. Got this news off Cowboy Caleb's blog, reposted here for the benefit of readers who don't visit his blog.

Just for Laughs.

Shopping Tip 101: In order to get the best out of the shopping trip, it is necessary to get 'nuff rest and intake lotsa water during shopping. One good way to do so is to drop by the nearest cafe cartel . They provide free flow of bread with butter, cold water, and comfy seats. Once you have rested your tired feet and hydrated yourself, you will be rejuvunated and ready to go! We were supposed to watch Stars Wars Three today. Unfortunately, only the front row seats were left. So I won't be commenting on the movie today. But I do have some funny pictures to share with you lah,

Be Careful of What You Blog!

When I saw the headlines "A*star scholar slammed for remarks about Spore men. What does she have to say now?", I thought to myself, "The Nation Builder has done it again". Once again, highlighting and stirring up a mundane incident unworthly of the front page. Is it the weekly "AhHah!-Gotcha!-You-said-blahblah-Now-explain-yourself!-Na-na-nee-boo." column? On one hand some bloggers are put on the podium for people to worship, while others who dare to air out their views are scrutinized on every word they typed. Has blogging become so dangerous? Is there a newly set up department out there specialised in checking every word we published on the web, with the potential of making headlines or a lawsuit for money? If you find the blogs too immature for you, not worthly of your time, don't read it. If you don't agree with his/her opinions, don't read it. The reader is really making his/her judgement to believe or agree with those opinions. Even if the

Mental Strength and Character to Prevail.

It was my first cup finals on cable. The Red Devils lost 5-4 on penalties. Not a graceful win for the opponent team. Penalty shootout is a cruel and unfair way to decide the winner. An inaccurate representation of the team's performance. "...they had the 'Mental strength' and 'character' to prevail" That's darn bullshit. The fact is both teams had shown pretty much determination, enduring the more than 120 mins of gameplay, and the team won simply because they had luck on their side. But of coz, nothing is really fair in this world. I am just a bit disappointed that they came short in winning the cup. Probably many would be cursing for losing money. On a separate note, below are some pictures of the Valentine's Day gift I received earlier this year. I have decided to post it because the other day I finally have the chance to eat it together (hmmmm... yeah.... it was in my fridge all along). So we took some pictures before sinking our teeth onto th

Old-School Hangout.

On Friday night, we had an "old-school" hangout at Bugis Parco. Erm, its not the school outing, just the three of us (the infamous PMS males), doing some "old-school" stuffs. It had been a very long time since I visited the arcade. The old machines are still there, but there are also plenty of new additions. Those super big screen, first person shooting games are awesome. Each game cost one dollar. So I only watched, as usual, like the old times. ha ha. In the end we did play one game, yeah the daytona! Apparently it was too old/slow for teenagers these days, so there were plenty of seats for us. Daytona brings back fond memories. It was like one of the only two, three games I played in arcade. Then we found these machines where you put coins in and turn a knob and you'll get this lil' egg shaped containers with a toy in them. Yah yah yah, that one lorh...! heh heh. I know you also tried before right? Anyway, I wanted to get the One piece's Sanji for my

Deadly Sins.

Something I would do when I feel its too tiring to blog those thoughts down - more silly quizzes. Your Deadly Sins Sloth : 60% Envy : 20% Gluttony : 20% Greed : 20% Lust : 20% Pride : 20% Wrath : 20% Chance You'll Go to Hell : 26% You will die while sleeping - and no one will notice. How Sinful Are You?

The Keys to Your Heart.

As with all tests, some points are very true, some not at all. =P The Keys to Your Heart You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free. In love, you feel the most alive when your lover is creative and never lets you feel bored. You'd like to your lover to think you are stylish and alluring. You would be forced to break up with someone who was emotional, moody, and difficult to please. Your ideal relationship is lasting. You want a relationship that looks to the future... one you can grow with. Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment. You think of marriage as something that will confine you. You are afraid of marriage. In this moment, you think of love as something you can get or discard anytime. You're feeling self centered. What Are The Keys To Your Heart?

Nobody Likes To Hear It.

While most people have been busy with lotsa things to do, I have been at home the past few days. My major activities were downloading and watching. Yes, I am fast becoming a couch potato (of cuz without the chips and what not =p) I am not sure why I don't have much to do. My daily routine has taken a big turn since last week. In fact, the events last week had sort of changed my life, or rather the way I will live my life. Mornings, I have been going to the nearby park for walk with mummy and daddy. I think its something I won't get to do much in the next few years - taking a walk in the park on a Monday morning at 8am. I will probably be in a bus full of people in two weeks' time. Today I started my first run since a long time. And as expected, I almost puke after the run. But it felt good to push myself abit. There is a fair amount of slopes, abit like running in NTU. Morning exercise is followed by breakfast and trip to the market. Afternoons, its watching those animes (n

Dawn of the new era.

W hen do I start writing about the dawn of the new era, about the start of new phase? I read many. They talked about their future, about where to go from here, about the last days of exams, the last day of their academic life. I don't think I am quite ready yet. Not till the day when its all confirm (exams results out la), will the burden lay to rest. I guess that's one of my greatest weakness. I'm unable to commit myself fully for anything until I know I have the capability to do it. Perhaps its the fear of failure *touchwood!!!*. But then again, I have been telling myself, "Why not do your best, why short change youself?". And it had been quite effective. I think luck has some role to play in it as well. Since luck had been on my side this week, most things had went well. In fact, after the successful presentation, the interview was good, I was offered a job, and I signed for the job. The luck will probably stop somewhere. And it sorta did when I went for my med

Mother's Day Dinner.

At eight p.m., dinner was finally served. What's for main course? Pasta with bacon, chicken shreds, capsicum, and mushroom fritters. What's for dessert? Tiramisu! Unfortunately, at the time of this post, it is still sitting tight in the fridge, not ready to eat yet. If you are thinking, which lousy restaurant is serving all that, its none other than my very own kitchen. -grins- Although I was just the lil' assistant, while my sis was the main chef, I did a fair share of work too. For someone like me who hardly cook (not even the rice), it sure wasn't an easy task preparing this Mother's Day Special dinner. I am glad I went thru' it today. One thing for sure, mummy was really happy. And the dinner tasted quite alright, perhaps it was because everyone was really hungry. Also saved some big bucks (my mum says if we can afford, we can go out to eat any other day, and those days can all be Mother's Day). I also learned a few cooking tips from my sis (eg.

Retrospective on writing diary.

Rampaged thru' my cupboards and threw away a stack of jc notes. Along the way I found a few lil' exercise books. Ah, do you remember the times in secondary school when we have to write diary entries? I found one of those sec 2 "diary" exercise book. Now I'm glad I had to write those stuffs. Cuz they bring me joy now. Who was that "friend" from the losing team of the football match who went home with me, who I praised had good sportsmanship? Why was I so grumpy when mummy was shopping for new year clothes? Did I really chose two shirts for my dad or was I just entertaining my English teacher with those boring stories? And why did I write that silly poem about downtown and birds who treat it as their dining table? Was I true to myself or trying to be politically correct in my entries then? I should have written down those names of those "friends", and maybe then, I'll have some recollection of those events. Unfortunately, now they are just en

Almost there.

I gotta blog this down, as today is a significant day. It marks the end of my undergrad academic activities. With cue card or without cue card, it ended. In fact, in a good note. =) I received my examiner one of the most flattering compliments ever given to me from a teacher figure. I must say my supervisor had played a great part in helping me, even till the last minute, the presentation, and spoke up for me. I can't describe my sense of relief and joy. Now its just the judgement day left, waiting for me. I'll keep my fingers crossed. *fingers crossed*

Hatch Day Confetti Part 1.

Time for the honour roll, I want to say a big thank you to everyone who came and celebrated the quarter century with me, as well as those who can't make it but still contribute in the prez. It had made me very happy (yeah, I love presents). The ice-cream cake was yumyum too! I always see people show off their presents on their blogs, and I think why not? Here's my chance, A topman short sleeve shirt for the "hardcore-engineer" from my girl. Yeah, she believes I'll be one next time, so no need for those long sleeves formal attire. Thanks for believing in me! Time to slim down, thats the message my dear friends bring to me with this pair of running shoes. Thanks alot, thats the motivation I need to go running. Stopped running for one sem, largely due to the lousy new balance which resulted in a twisted ankle in the beginning of the year. So I sorta have a phobia with that pair of shoes. Now no more excuse. Finally, I wanna thank my family who had waited for

Twenty-Five.

When you are 26, your stubbles grow out pretty fast. When you are 26, you wonder how you have contributed to mankind. When you are 26, you realise life has just started, cuz you have not done much and it has already been 26. Time for a good shave, take stock of life, move on, with a fresh start. Eh, not 25 meh? No la, 26, I count lunar one. Lunar one is 26 liao lor. Year of Monkey one mah.

Comfortably Numb.

A belated entry for the final day. Its in bits and pieces... After thirty-five papers, I was finally sitting for the last paper (hopefully) in my undergrad life. It wasn't a big deal or anything, but was definitely significant. I sat there on my desk with the questions and answer booklet in front of me. Then I pulled out my pink IC outta my wallet. I was surprised it wasn't my matric card, it wasn't in my wallet at all. I lost my matric card before the last paper. Luckily I was able to go on with my paper without any problem. But I told myself that I must get it back, I want to continue enjoy the discounts with the card (frankly, I only use the student price of one dollar at the art museum =p). I had 拉面 and 上海小笼包 for lunch. 小笼包 is not 包 hor. So please don't say anything inauspicious, choy-choy-choy. Anyway, bro thanks for the treat... You are the man! A picture of it for my readers. I like the juicy filling. But its definitely not as fantastic as the first time I had
