Merry New Year 2007!

5, 4, 3, 2, 1! I can't remember when was the last time I went to Sentosa for some sort of new year celebration. The most vivid one which I can remember was during my secondary school days when I went with a group of Teleview chatters. We stayed up all night at Sunset Bay. I wasn't even old enough to drink legally. Form party was the new in-thing.

Blink blink blink. Forward many years ahead, it was NY eve again at Sentosa. My colleague HK had graciously invited us to his family BBQ cum chalet at Costa Sands Sentosa. A big thank you to him. Wonderful host and food. there were even crayfish and lotsa beer and red wine. They were definitely well prepared. We had a temporary shelter put over our three pits when there was a slight drizzle.

The high of the night was probably when we used up the form spray against each other, acting many years younger, before the countdown. Feeling apologetic to two colleagues, HY and KC. Didn't know form will stain their clothes. Can wash off right? Hee hee. Sorry! But it was fun mah. HY sounded angry bout getting her grey gio-pants pinkish. Boo-hoo. =p

And the low would be my lame attempt to tell ghost stories which always ended with anti climax. Well this led to the girls getting comfortable in their positions and decided to sleep.

Of cuz the night didn't end there, at least not for me. The techno at the beach continued till six am, occasionally playing the few tracks that i know, such as Born Slippy Nu and Smack My Bitch Up. It made me wanna jump outta bed and join them. As the last drum beat stopped, it was finally peace and sleep.

Two and the half hours later, I am now on my way home alone, to meet my dear girlfriend later for the first time in the brand new year! I am excited, cuz I wanna be a better boyfriend his year. Not sure what the rest of the guys will be doing, hopefully having sweet dreams right now?

Ah, getting too old for such occasions. Must take care of health. Tho' it was a sinful start for the year, booze and fats, it was a good one! Strangely, I felt tinny-whinny-bit misfit among the group, probably because I am still the dull and boring-self. Where has that joker and suanist in me gone to? Hah hah. That will change. One more item in my 2007 New Year Resolutions!

As we enjoy the extra long New Year holidays, I wanna wishing one and all a blessed year in 2007! Thank you for reading my nonsense in the past year. =]

Resolutions 2012.

While my one-year-old is going for his first steps, I am also learning to walk (again). 2011 was full of ups and downs.  I was promoted for the 2nd time in my first job. Not fantastic but not bad either after six years. The challenging issues justifies for the few more dollars increment to the stipend. Murphy is my good friend. With only the final milestone left, I hope to overcome all odds and pull the rabbit outta the hat in 2012! If I am lucky, I may run another project.  For the consecutive year, I expended all my medical leave. After hearing my story, some may say 父爱是伟大的. Some may think I was pure clumsy. As my son likes to watch basketball playing, I decided to show him how to do it myself. At first I felt good, I got it plenty of shots. Unfortunately, I broke my ACL while chasing after the ball. It has been two months and my knee is still weak and hurts occasionally. I plan to go for surgery in 2012, while performing the balancing act of pulling the rabbit and recup...

The Last 24 Hours, Twenty-Twelve.

It is becoming a tradition. This is the fourth time for me. This year, two new companions joined me for this journey in the last 24 hours of 2012. As usual, is only for a few hours in the afternoon. But I like the sound of it, "last 24 hours".  It started out in 2008 for me, a ala    Eye é City . For the record, it was another rainy new year's eve. We started our journey at Thian Hock Keng, Amoy Street and ended at Raffles City Shopping Centre. It was interesting for me as it was my first time to Thian Hock Keng. This year, instead of posting the photos here, I have uploaded them to my Flickr account . The photos look better there as I don't have to reduce the size of the photos for this blog. I will re-edit the past photos and upload them as well when I am free. Who will join me next year? You can sign up now!

The Last 24 Hours, Twenty-Thirteen.

If you were wondering... Yes I did it for the fifth time on the eve of New Year. Just two of us, made the journey from Marina Bay Financial Centre to Kampung Glam, via the newest Downtown line. You can see my photos here . Still looking for people to join us end of this year. :)
