The Quarter Mark.

I wonder if anyone noticed, Mediacorp had been using lotsa Franz Ferdinand songs for their shows' intro clips these days. For example they used "The Fallen" for the DH2 clip. I bet either all these clips were done by someone who is a Franz Ferdinand fan or they were paid alot to do so. I think the former is more likely. And that person sure have good taste. Btw, you can find some nice photos of them here from their "No Encore" concert back in Feb. Courtesy of Aloysius Lim. Thanks dude, your photos are really incredible.

Today was a usual day, with two passengers on the bus who preferred to let their NTUC plastic bags "sit", then giving up those seats to two poor ladies with high heels, whose hands were really full. It is interesting to note that one of the passenger was sitting behind the other. One was a 40+ auntie, the other was a 30+ man. Totally normal, balanced demographic, and occurrence, of inconsiderate people on the public transport.

At work, I was relatively relaxed, compared to the hectic weeks I had earlier. This is a transition week before the big thing, so I am gonna enjoy myself more while I can. There were some good news, and I am also hatching some exciting ideas. Although I continue to shuck badly every week in the EPL Yahoo Fantasy League, I hope all things in life will turn out well. I am rather tired of false hopes, so my expectations will not be too high. Something good is brewing, I can just feel it in my blood.

A quarter of the year had passed. It hadn't been that bad so far. But I want to accomplish more in the comings days, and it ain't gonna be easy. Tough days loom ahead with regards to money matters. Isn't that the familiar issue I have all the time? However the burden is gonna be greater. And I hope my big break will come soon.

So what tommorow holds for me?

The Bridal Dowry.

The delivery of dowry ( 送嫁妆 ) is another important custom. It represents parent's effort for her daughter to have a good life after marriage and prepare her with the necessities for being a good wife. I am amazed by some of the things included in the dowry. Of course, in our modern living, we will not be using some of those things... Nevertheless, I think it is all good to have them, as each item carries a good meaning for our blissful marriage. :-)

If you have it, just flaunt it.

Its such a lousy day, I have decided to blog another entry. Yesh, I am thinking about things other than my last two papers on Thurs and Friday. Something probably talked alot before by many people... What is it with men and women with 可爱-oooii *杨丞琳's voice* face, long tresses, slim legs, curvey body, in revealing tight clothes (only for those with the former characteristics), in pink. Why are men so attracted to those features? The guy is lying if he says he will not turn his head when he sees women with those features. I think it has nothing to do with men being lustful or anything disgusting. It probably has something to do with the genes, the hormones. I don't believe it has to do with things like its men's nature instinct to look for partners who can reproduce blahblahblah. That's so boring! Its something mysterious, something that let men derives pleasure by just looking openly, without doing anything bad or harmful or immoral. Do women ogle at men all the time too...

Saturday Afternoon Routine.

I just got back from the Saturday tuition sessions. It has been almost 5 months since I started.I have two classes of primary school children, P4 and P3, taking Maths and Science, and English, respectively. It has become a Saturday routine. A energy-draining activity. It is somehow different from giving volunteering tuition. When you are paid, the responsibility seems greater. And if you ain't doing a good job, someone else is readily available to take up yours. The fact that I really need that money, I have to put in more effort. Some students have left, and some have joined. I'm not sure whether they left cuz they think I ain't good 'nuff for them. But there are some who seem really happy and appreciative to have me around. On my first lesson, I set the ground rules for my classes. I told them my expectations on their behavior. On boy, how naive I was. They are only nine or ten, they don't understand the significance of those rules. After a couple of lessons with ...
