It's Still A Wonderful World.

They were sitting opposite each other in the bus. It fact there were two rows of seats between them. It started out when the 4-year-old daughter of one mother offering some sweets to the 5-year-old son of another mother. Being a young boy, he was shy and ignored the lil' girl. But their mothers were not shy at all.

They started to talk to each other. Standing between them, I felt the suddenly awkwardness. I suspect there would be weird silence as they would try to keep up with the conversation. First they asked about their children's age, then about school. They talked about where they lived, the distance away from market. Next about how many children they have, whether they are still working. Then they started to talk about the high cost of raising the children, the price of secondary school textbooks. This went on and on. In between they kept smiling so sweetly at each other. I was truly amazed!

Yes, the world is still such a wonderful and friendly place, especially right here in Singapore, in Yishun. It warmed my heart. =)

The Bridal Dowry.

The delivery of dowry ( 送嫁妆 ) is another important custom. It represents parent's effort for her daughter to have a good life after marriage and prepare her with the necessities for being a good wife. I am amazed by some of the things included in the dowry. Of course, in our modern living, we will not be using some of those things... Nevertheless, I think it is all good to have them, as each item carries a good meaning for our blissful marriage. :-)

Shopping for Perfume.

If you want to buy original but cheaper perfume in Singapore, you'd probably go to Lucky Plaza . You can bargain at the perfume shops in Lucky Plaza which is the exact reason why anyone would wanna shop at Lucky Plaza. I went there with a friend to shop for some perfume this afternoon. It was a shopping experience I never had before in Singapore. As a matter of fact, never before in my life or anywhere in the world. I usually visit the two shops near McDonald's . Today we decided check out another shop since we had walked from the "Lucky Plaza - Ngee Ann City underpass". We had in mind one of the brand we wanted. So after asking the price, we looked for the 2nd bottle of brand, but at a lower budget. We tested three, can't decide and asked for recommendation from the boss, an Indian lady (not being racist, its just the fact it happened to be an Indian shop). She showed me a black face (no pun intended! heh ) and said my budget was too low. She probably wasn'...

If you have it, just flaunt it.

Its such a lousy day, I have decided to blog another entry. Yesh, I am thinking about things other than my last two papers on Thurs and Friday. Something probably talked alot before by many people... What is it with men and women with 可爱-oooii *杨丞琳's voice* face, long tresses, slim legs, curvey body, in revealing tight clothes (only for those with the former characteristics), in pink. Why are men so attracted to those features? The guy is lying if he says he will not turn his head when he sees women with those features. I think it has nothing to do with men being lustful or anything disgusting. It probably has something to do with the genes, the hormones. I don't believe it has to do with things like its men's nature instinct to look for partners who can reproduce blahblahblah. That's so boring! Its something mysterious, something that let men derives pleasure by just looking openly, without doing anything bad or harmful or immoral. Do women ogle at men all the time too...
