I Like... I Love...

Romantic comedy. My favourite genre, this reason is good 'nuff for me to catch this movie.

If you don't like this genre, I think you'll probably still catch it cuz there's Audrey Tautou in the show!

That babe in À la folie... pas du tout (He Loves Me... He Loves Me Not) and Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain (Amelie of Montmartre). She is absolutely gorgeous-sexy-oh-pls-let-me-meet-her-in-person, drop dead beautiful.

Yah I'm satisfied with just meeting her in person. Besides, don't think my girlfriend would wish to know what else I would... *Warning spoilers ahead* I will also trade away my watch full of diamonds for the Chanel dress for her. I wish she had taken less puff in the movie. Smoking ain't cool...

Oh yes, 'nuff of dreaming, back to the show. You can read about the plot and watch the trailer here. My thoughts of the show? Beside the tinny-winny unique plot, its a typical French film that showcase their lifestyle and humour. Probably you can view it as another French propaganda film that brainwash us to think that they are the most passionate and romantic people in the world. They also showed that they are really funnier than their neighbours across the channel. =p The French lifestyle always seems to be so carefree and full of excitement in movies. I like that feeling. Seems like a good place to retire and enjoy life. However, the excitement of getting caught with my lover by my girlfriend will be too much for me. I don't think I'll be quite up to it. They made it look so easy in the movie... Lotsa useful tips in the movie for those who are bold enough to try. Nope, not me. -wide grins- And lotsa mouth-dropping-drooling scenes of Audrey Tautou in designer wear. -even wider grins-

So where is the passion you may ask. Its in the title of the movie.
Priceless! Guess what is? Above riches of the world, and the wonderful luxurious lifestyle, love is priceless!

So what's next? Perhaps a movie about selling Tea in France? heh heh. Some British humour in French context? They have gotta cast Audrey Tautou in there tho'.

3 1/2 outta 5 stars.
+1 star for Audrey Tautou = 4 1/2 stars. =p

The Bridal Dowry.

The delivery of dowry ( 送嫁妆 ) is another important custom. It represents parent's effort for her daughter to have a good life after marriage and prepare her with the necessities for being a good wife. I am amazed by some of the things included in the dowry. Of course, in our modern living, we will not be using some of those things... Nevertheless, I think it is all good to have them, as each item carries a good meaning for our blissful marriage. :-)

If you have it, just flaunt it.

Its such a lousy day, I have decided to blog another entry. Yesh, I am thinking about things other than my last two papers on Thurs and Friday. Something probably talked alot before by many people... What is it with men and women with 可爱-oooii *杨丞琳's voice* face, long tresses, slim legs, curvey body, in revealing tight clothes (only for those with the former characteristics), in pink. Why are men so attracted to those features? The guy is lying if he says he will not turn his head when he sees women with those features. I think it has nothing to do with men being lustful or anything disgusting. It probably has something to do with the genes, the hormones. I don't believe it has to do with things like its men's nature instinct to look for partners who can reproduce blahblahblah. That's so boring! Its something mysterious, something that let men derives pleasure by just looking openly, without doing anything bad or harmful or immoral. Do women ogle at men all the time too...

Saturday Afternoon Routine.

I just got back from the Saturday tuition sessions. It has been almost 5 months since I started.I have two classes of primary school children, P4 and P3, taking Maths and Science, and English, respectively. It has become a Saturday routine. A energy-draining activity. It is somehow different from giving volunteering tuition. When you are paid, the responsibility seems greater. And if you ain't doing a good job, someone else is readily available to take up yours. The fact that I really need that money, I have to put in more effort. Some students have left, and some have joined. I'm not sure whether they left cuz they think I ain't good 'nuff for them. But there are some who seem really happy and appreciative to have me around. On my first lesson, I set the ground rules for my classes. I told them my expectations on their behavior. On boy, how naive I was. They are only nine or ten, they don't understand the significance of those rules. After a couple of lessons with ...
