Fantasy Football 06/07.

It was a nail biting finish till the end. Much like the relegation fight between West Ham, Wigan and Sheffield United. First of all, before I go on to the details of the tight fight between my team and KC-XTT's legendary xtt risky business, a round up on my team's performance this season:

Really nothing to be proud of. Finished at a dismay 96th percentile, 2780 points and overall rank of 7492, 3rd in
UHU League, 4th in Jokers League. This is the 3rd season. A little improvement from the 94th percentile of last season, but far cry from the 98th percentile of the first season.

You may be wondering, such lousy result, whats there to blog about? Well, the exciting thing this season is that my girlfriend joined in the game as well, and the close fight with
KC-XTT's team.

My team vs xtt risky business. First the stats...
Position: me 3rd vs xtt 4th
Points: me 2780 vs xtt 2720.5
# of Team of the Week: me 2 vs xtt 4

Less than 60 points separate our team! xtt climbed from the bottom half of the league in the first half of the season, rapidly to 4th position! That was simply inspiring. Since we stop our little weekly bets, she out-do me every week, closing the gap of more than 300 points. In fact xtt began at disadvantage as she started playing the game only on the 2nd week. So if you deduct away the 141 points I scored in the first week, she'd have overtaken me!

All in all, despite the terrible result, this season was the most fun of the three. I am a far 170 points away from the 2nd
Brian Team and even further 467.5 points away from the 1st Ah Fa's Lousier than lousy FC. Apart from this gap on top, the competition in the mid tables was intense despite most players at the lower half stopped playing mid-way thru the season. heh heh.

My girlfriend also gave a commendable effort of 2314.5 points. She also stopped playing mid-way thru.
Hah hah. But mind you, she doesn't even watch soccer! So she don't really know the players. I think she probably know quite a few now! It's certainly fun to talk about soccer and the players with your girlfriend lorh. =p

Finally, the best buy and favourite player this season has got to be Everton's Mikel Arteta. His value increased 9.64 since the beginning of the season, total of 7 games with more than 20 points performance out of 33 games played.

Other worthy mentioned are BFDB (Blog Favourite David Bentley), Tim Howard, and Favourite Hammer Carlos Tevez who put up hell of a performance in the last few games, too bad I did not have him during his 44-point-week! Of cuz I am really happy that Man Utd won the league title, and Ronaldo was really fantastic too but I only have him for a couple of games which he sucked real bad. Sorry my bad, everyone else had to suffer with me then. Heh. Frank Lampard would have made it to my favourite list too if not for his inconsistent performance in the last few games.

See everyone again next season!

If you have it, just flaunt it.

Its such a lousy day, I have decided to blog another entry. Yesh, I am thinking about things other than my last two papers on Thurs and Friday. Something probably talked alot before by many people... What is it with men and women with 可爱-oooii *杨丞琳's voice* face, long tresses, slim legs, curvey body, in revealing tight clothes (only for those with the former characteristics), in pink. Why are men so attracted to those features? The guy is lying if he says he will not turn his head when he sees women with those features. I think it has nothing to do with men being lustful or anything disgusting. It probably has something to do with the genes, the hormones. I don't believe it has to do with things like its men's nature instinct to look for partners who can reproduce blahblahblah. That's so boring! Its something mysterious, something that let men derives pleasure by just looking openly, without doing anything bad or harmful or immoral. Do women ogle at men all the time too...

Saturday Afternoon Routine.

I just got back from the Saturday tuition sessions. It has been almost 5 months since I started.I have two classes of primary school children, P4 and P3, taking Maths and Science, and English, respectively. It has become a Saturday routine. A energy-draining activity. It is somehow different from giving volunteering tuition. When you are paid, the responsibility seems greater. And if you ain't doing a good job, someone else is readily available to take up yours. The fact that I really need that money, I have to put in more effort. Some students have left, and some have joined. I'm not sure whether they left cuz they think I ain't good 'nuff for them. But there are some who seem really happy and appreciative to have me around. On my first lesson, I set the ground rules for my classes. I told them my expectations on their behavior. On boy, how naive I was. They are only nine or ten, they don't understand the significance of those rules. After a couple of lessons with ...

Just In Time, For Bertrand's Big Day!

Twelve months ago, our baby boy came into this world. It was the beginning of our new journey. The delivery suite was cold. I held the camera tightly, waiting for the moment. The gynecologist came in and told me to put it away. "No time for this." My job was to urge my wife to push hard. "One and two and three..." And then, came his first cry. "Where's my camera? Where's my camera?" I scrambled for it. First was the cutting of umbilical cord, then the body check, the weighing scale, and Bertrand was in Mummy's arms for the first time. Before I knew, it had begun - my journey as a father and Bertrand's dedicated photographer. From the start, Bertrand is a natural when it comes to posing for the camera. He would look at the camera. The boy is cheerful. It was easy to capture him smiling. Not wanting to miss out any of it, I had the camera by my side, day and night. The first time he smiled, mumbled, laughed out loud, flipped over, crawle...
