Entry_#One

I wanted to pretend this isn't my first entry. But it is. Let me throw in some excuses here for the slow-start *plenty-of-excuses*. Ha, the fact is, I tried online diary before (my diaryland account is still active), but I lost the need of expressing myself online after awhile. Switched to emailing my nonsense and sorrows to a selected few [you know who you are (=], and some real-life listening ears [you know who you are too =b]. And everyone knows that in the first entry you gotta explain why you wanted to start a blog yadayadayada-blahblahblah that sorta thing - in this case "restarting" one.
So here's the intro-for-my-blog:

I can't find a good reason for starting this blog. Here's a lame one: Its the mid-term break. Maybe I just wanted to do anything else other than my fyp (warning: future entries may contain lotsa grumbling on this) and any of the objectives I set for the week (eg. finish robotics revision by Tuesday, gotta be kidding myself =b).

Life is such routine. So probably will not be updating too often, and it may be more of an expression of my feelings, rather than record of daily happenings or opinions on issues.

Spent a couple of hours browsing for a good template, but can't get a good one yet. So I'll be sticking with this for a while. Bear with the minimal-plain design, prefer to keep it simple for now. =)

Finally, the meaning of the blog "the lastsplash": title of one of my favourite album, by the Breeders (the awesome dual kim deal and kelley deal). you must have heard of cannonball, and my heart-break anthem, do you love me now. perhaps its my philosophy of life, living my life to the fullest, doing my best, looking my best, causing a splash. slackin' is part of the package. =)

// if you are wondering who is egeus, that's my oldold-nick, present-nick mantaray has been taken up.

The Bridal Dowry.

The delivery of dowry ( 送嫁妆 ) is another important custom. It represents parent's effort for her daughter to have a good life after marriage and prepare her with the necessities for being a good wife. I am amazed by some of the things included in the dowry. Of course, in our modern living, we will not be using some of those things... Nevertheless, I think it is all good to have them, as each item carries a good meaning for our blissful marriage. :-)

Shopping for Perfume.

If you want to buy original but cheaper perfume in Singapore, you'd probably go to Lucky Plaza . You can bargain at the perfume shops in Lucky Plaza which is the exact reason why anyone would wanna shop at Lucky Plaza. I went there with a friend to shop for some perfume this afternoon. It was a shopping experience I never had before in Singapore. As a matter of fact, never before in my life or anywhere in the world. I usually visit the two shops near McDonald's . Today we decided check out another shop since we had walked from the "Lucky Plaza - Ngee Ann City underpass". We had in mind one of the brand we wanted. So after asking the price, we looked for the 2nd bottle of brand, but at a lower budget. We tested three, can't decide and asked for recommendation from the boss, an Indian lady (not being racist, its just the fact it happened to be an Indian shop). She showed me a black face (no pun intended! heh ) and said my budget was too low. She probably wasn'...

If you have it, just flaunt it.

Its such a lousy day, I have decided to blog another entry. Yesh, I am thinking about things other than my last two papers on Thurs and Friday. Something probably talked alot before by many people... What is it with men and women with 可爱-oooii *杨丞琳's voice* face, long tresses, slim legs, curvey body, in revealing tight clothes (only for those with the former characteristics), in pink. Why are men so attracted to those features? The guy is lying if he says he will not turn his head when he sees women with those features. I think it has nothing to do with men being lustful or anything disgusting. It probably has something to do with the genes, the hormones. I don't believe it has to do with things like its men's nature instinct to look for partners who can reproduce blahblahblah. That's so boring! Its something mysterious, something that let men derives pleasure by just looking openly, without doing anything bad or harmful or immoral. Do women ogle at men all the time too...
