Of cuz we should be politically correct, and never condone violence. Especially, when it was an act from someone who is an idol and role model for millions around the world. However, we should all forgive him.
Such an 'idiocratic headbutt' does require an 'odious motivation'. The 'Battling Ram of France' had put Emile Heskey to shame! How many of us can say that we will not throw a punch, give a kick, let our body fluid fly, or even react in any way, given such a 'motivation' and under such intense stress to perform? The legend is only human. Players get away with foul words (unless they are words to the man in black - or rather yellow, and sometimes red, heh), but not with foul actions. And I guess action speaks louder than words (and also more obvious on replays). A wireless mic for every player on the field next time? Maybe.
Thank you Zizou for his courage to express his feelings, and entertainment he provided in his final hurrah. Why don't we condemm those foul words and forget 'bout the entertaining headbutt. Afterall, this is World Cup Final, where drama and showmanship are at the highest level on the world's greatest stage.
9 out of 10 shots (lucky for Trezeguet's miss, another 10 more shots I'd not be able to wake up for work on time!) ended behind the net, and nobody balloons the ball (remember the last time Baggio did that for Italy???), I am quite satisfied with the finale. We don't need a villain for headlines to make the ending any more dramatic. Let's move on to the new season of soccer!
P.S. Check out this hillarious WC blog.
