HUAT Ah 2008!

Ho ho ho! 5, 4, 3, 2, 1! Gong Xi Fa Choy! Muah Muah Muahz~*

Other than the couple of London posts, it had been two months since I blogged last December. It wasn't that life had been uneventful... Certainly, many significant activities had taken place. Such as Christmas and New Year in Shanghai, dear's Birthday, Chinese New Year, Valentine's Day etc. And I missed my regular entries of the New Year Resolutions, Kudos to my friends etc. Oh and do you remember the TOML series which I had barely started? But my dear had been much more diligent with her entries. Read this, this and this!

The Power of Procrastination! In fact, blogging is one of the last thing I should be doing right now. The are three projects and one last term paper to do. One trip report to be completed. The big stone pressing against my heart is the trip report. Unfortunately I had been busy with other work since I got back. I really should be coughing out a report just about end of this week... I already have plans to a one day leave next week to finish off my term paper.

Well 'nuff of the procrastination. I am deeply encouraged by my good friend to blog. She complimented about my writings and I am afraid she may be bored at office again tomorrow cuz of my lack of updates. =p So let me tell you about the CNY visit to my house yesterday! A buncha of...

... not shells lah, but kakis from office, my best friends, visited me yesterday. They are none other than the Three Golden Flowers (Stitchy-Sop aka Ms Mee Siam Red Hibiscus, KC-XTT aka My Melody lil' Ms Pinkie Periwinkle, and
YeeYee aka Ms Spick-and-Span Yellow Sunflower). Not the Golden Girls lah... where got so old. =p And the other two FA(s)! HUAT AH! Buy TOTO!

It has been quite a while since my friends visited my house during CNY. I stayed up till 2am on Friday to spruce thing up abit (actually just wiping off the dust on the visible areas). Apparently that wasn't quite enough. YeeYee hadta to open the absolutely no-no drawers and cupboards! I won't say my room is neat and clean, but it isn't exactly messy either. I have these many things and just as many broken cupboards as well (Yea, the doors are fallin' down!!!). No choice but to pack them nicely in boxes and bags on the floor. Maybe my room is luxurious enough for me and myself, but a lil' too crowded the six of us.

Despite that, we had lotsa fun going through my childhood photos, playing UNO, Bridge, among the many things we did. We had so much fun that we forgot about eating the CNY goodies and playing the XBox. Perhaps everyone was too full from the Golden Pillow Five Course Lunch. Well if they had finished the CNY goodies, I wouldn't have anything to gorge down just now... My lo-mai-kai wasn't much of a dinner. The other highlight of the day was that my dish-washing skill was assessed as under-par. Aunties have high expectations for me lah. I thought the plates were quite clean already loh...

Once again, I wanna thank everyone for coming. It meant alot to me to have you in my room (such a silly thought for somebody my age) and having so much fun (from behaving unlike our age). Whose house shall we visit next year? You know who you are hor lil' red flower... =p

If you have it, just flaunt it.

Its such a lousy day, I have decided to blog another entry. Yesh, I am thinking about things other than my last two papers on Thurs and Friday. Something probably talked alot before by many people... What is it with men and women with 可爱-oooii *杨丞琳's voice* face, long tresses, slim legs, curvey body, in revealing tight clothes (only for those with the former characteristics), in pink. Why are men so attracted to those features? The guy is lying if he says he will not turn his head when he sees women with those features. I think it has nothing to do with men being lustful or anything disgusting. It probably has something to do with the genes, the hormones. I don't believe it has to do with things like its men's nature instinct to look for partners who can reproduce blahblahblah. That's so boring! Its something mysterious, something that let men derives pleasure by just looking openly, without doing anything bad or harmful or immoral. Do women ogle at men all the time too...

Saturday Afternoon Routine.

I just got back from the Saturday tuition sessions. It has been almost 5 months since I started.I have two classes of primary school children, P4 and P3, taking Maths and Science, and English, respectively. It has become a Saturday routine. A energy-draining activity. It is somehow different from giving volunteering tuition. When you are paid, the responsibility seems greater. And if you ain't doing a good job, someone else is readily available to take up yours. The fact that I really need that money, I have to put in more effort. Some students have left, and some have joined. I'm not sure whether they left cuz they think I ain't good 'nuff for them. But there are some who seem really happy and appreciative to have me around. On my first lesson, I set the ground rules for my classes. I told them my expectations on their behavior. On boy, how naive I was. They are only nine or ten, they don't understand the significance of those rules. After a couple of lessons with ...

Just In Time, For Bertrand's Big Day!

Twelve months ago, our baby boy came into this world. It was the beginning of our new journey. The delivery suite was cold. I held the camera tightly, waiting for the moment. The gynecologist came in and told me to put it away. "No time for this." My job was to urge my wife to push hard. "One and two and three..." And then, came his first cry. "Where's my camera? Where's my camera?" I scrambled for it. First was the cutting of umbilical cord, then the body check, the weighing scale, and Bertrand was in Mummy's arms for the first time. Before I knew, it had begun - my journey as a father and Bertrand's dedicated photographer. From the start, Bertrand is a natural when it comes to posing for the camera. He would look at the camera. The boy is cheerful. It was easy to capture him smiling. Not wanting to miss out any of it, I had the camera by my side, day and night. The first time he smiled, mumbled, laughed out loud, flipped over, crawle...
